The original show was broadcast about eighteen years ago with the target audience being the inmates at the Tomoka Correctional Institution. Now, with Tomoka remaining a high priority, our team is believing that our Volusia Community is also in need of God’s vibrant word founded upon faith especially during the hours of 9:00-11:00 pm on Saturday nights! We know that all sorts of occurrences come about late in the evening and during the early morning hours, both in the natural and in the spiritual realms.
Many in our community are hurting, in pain, experiencing fear, isolation and lonliness and the need for direction in their lives that we believe can only be remedied by an intimate relationship with our Risen Savior, Jesus Christ and guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit. One of the unique aspects of our broadcast is that it will be live! This will allow us to receive calls from our community who maybe in need of immediate prayer or who are seeking guidance.
At times we will be interactive with our callers while other times we will have guest speakers either in our studio or live via their phone who will touch upon contemporary topics that will surely urge us on to deeper knowledge and understanding of God’s word and of the world around us. Our shows will be flavored with a variety of musical genres that will be sure to catch your attention, cause you to tap your feet, clap your hands and even sing along.
Finally, each show will be founded upon the readings our Pure Fire Team has done prior to the show and during the week related to the three previously noted resources. The three devotionals touch in a deep and meaningful manner, many of the challenges, issues and questions we all face in life on a daily basis and through God’s word we will provide insight as to how our Mighty God has never been defeated!
